Hand Pick Mattock
Traditional Japanese Garden Tool by ASANO
AS06025. 10cm x 5cm steel blade. 6,5cm long pick. 36cm wood handle. Made in Japan.
This Hand Pick Mattock is a high-quality tool made of Japanese steel forged in one piece and set on a strong birch wood handle.
The Hand Pick Mattock is a light weight, well-balanced single-handed garden tool, ideal for gardening and bush regen work. With a pick on one side and a hoe on the other, this pick mattock makes for quick work even in hard packed or clay soils.
It is also a good idea to tap in the wedge on the top of the handle occasionally, since the hardwood handle may expand & shrink over time due to moisture.
Features:
- One forged solid head
- Blade is made of high-quality carbon steel
- Sharp cutting blade & easy to sharpen
- Includes a small wedge imbedded in the top of the handle head
- Hardwood handle
